LOVE IS................

GREAT weekend

What a weekend. I had a great one. Friday I went with Hayley to see her baby, Honey Girl. What a sweetie. Honey Girl will be able to go home with Hay the week of the 25th. She is so excited…. Hayley is too :)!

Here are a few pictures from our visit with Honey Girl. (Take note, she is already a dog model. Look at the picture of her in my hand with her profile taken)

Then Saturday morning I went to my moms so that she, Heather, Bronwyn, Hayley and I could go look for bedding and cribs. Well, it didn’t start off so well. I had a breakdown on the way to my moms. I just got it in my head that I wasn’t going to get Monkey Princess’ room done in time. I know… I have time. But you can’t really say that to a pregnant mommy while she is crying and think that she will dry her tears and say OK! It’s hard and I DO know that everything will be fine. It was just one of those moments.

Then Saturday night Phil and I went to dinner with Stacey, Alan and Ollie for Alan’s bday. We went to the Macaroni Grill and Ollie was too cool for school. He was wearing my sun glasses and posed for every picture.

On Sunday Phil and I went back to Babies R Us so that I could show him the crib and bedding that we had found. When we walked out, we had a different crib and different bedding picked out… of course. We did only walk out with a box of diapers and two outfits that Phil picked out for his little girl. It was a successful trip.

It was a great weekend all around. Thanks to everyone for a great weekend.

20 weeks and feeling great

Here are my 20 weeks photos. I am growing by the minute, but feeling really good. My sister, Hayley and I, go to kick boxing, a new barbell strength class and had been doing hip hop. I love the classes and have been told it will only help me in the long run. I am able to do them and will until I can't anymore. I have a lot of support and the instructors are always watching.

My kick boxing instructor is certified in prenatal exercise. So I feel very comfortable in her class.

I am ready for anything!!!!

(HA....PS this is Jennice's helmet to her scooter. She let me try it on) Jennice also goes to the classes with me and Hayley. She is a sweet girl.

We are a banana this week.... fitting don't you think?

I should have been posting these all along. I had been sending them to Phillip every week b/c he likes to know what food/fruit our little girl is measuring up to that certain week.

Read on to see that she is the size of a banana. (Of course this is a general statement, but it's fun to read).

PS..they switch every week with he and she b/c it's a generic statement. We all know that she is a little girl!! Read on...........

How your baby's growing:

Your baby weighs about 10 1/2 ounces now. He's also around 6 1/2 inches long from head to bottom and about 10 inches from head to heel — the length of a banana. (For the first 20 weeks, when a baby's legs are curled up against his torso and hard to measure, measurements are taken from the top of his head to his bottom — the "crown to rump" measurement. After 20 weeks, he's measured from head to toe.)

He's swallowing more these days, which is good practice for his digestive system. He's also producing meconium, a black, sticky by-product of digestion. This gooey substance will accumulate in his bowels, and you'll see it in his first soiled diaper (some babies pass meconium in the womb or during delivery).

Note: Every baby develops a little differently — even in the womb. Our information is designed to give you a general idea of your baby's development.

How your life's changing:

Congratulations! You've hit the halfway mark in your pregnancy. The top of your uterus is about level with your belly button, and you've likely gained around 10 pounds. Expect to gain another pound or so each week from now on. (If you started your pregnancy underweight, you may need to gain a bit more; if you were overweight, perhaps a bit less.) Make sure you're getting enough iron, a mineral that's used primarily to make hemoglobin (the part of your red blood cells that carries oxygen). During pregnancy, your body needs more iron to keep up with your expanding blood volume, as well as for your growing baby and the placenta. Red meat is one of the best sources of iron for pregnant women. Poultry (especially the dark meat) and shellfish also contain iron. Some common non-meat sources of iron include legumes, soy-based products, spinach, prune juice, raisins, and iron-fortified cereals.

If you haven't already signed up for a childbirth education class, you may want to look into one, especially if you're a first-timer. A structured class will help prepare you and your partner for the rigors of labor and delivery. Most hospitals and birth centers offer classes, either as weekly meetings or as a single intensive, one-day session. Many communities have independent instructors as well. Ask your friends, family members, or caregiver for recommendations.

I am not an excting blgger....we know this! However...

I wish I was that witty writer or the funny blogger, but hey.... I add lots of pictures!!

However, my sister is pretty funny. She wrote out a blog and used the same picture I did, however she is added some cute little tid bits. Yes, I am laughing now, but we all know that she will be the one laughing in November. This will be when we are eating our Turkey dinner and all I want to do is the simple task of getting up to get more turkey, yet won't be able to get up.

Check out her (and Josh's) blog.

Heather, you are the cutest mommy to be!!!

What a weekend.....

I had a fun weekend. It was busy, yet calm if that makes sense.

Friday night I went to my sister, Heather's, house and watched the opening ceremonies of the Olympics with her, Hayley and Bronwyn. What a show!! We had pizza and homemade candy that Heather made. VERY good. Then we listened to Bronwyn ask every five minutes "What are they doing," "Is she a princess," "What is that?" It was funny, yet wow...that girl can talk!! We love it! Heather and I did the belly to belly picture too.

Then Saturday, Phillip and I got to rest pretty much all day. It was so nice to lay around and watch the Olympics. Then we went to the Mesquite Rodeo with Phillip, my mom, Richard (Pop), Hayley, and my step nephews, DJ and Hunter. That was a lot of fun. (Pictures following)

Then Sunday was our Annual Football Draft on my dad's side. It used to be the Finigan/Struwe draft, but we have married or invited others to play along, which is great. It's now and has been the Looney Tunes League with 10 teams, with the orignal teams of my dad Steve, my step mom Barbara, Heather and Josh, Scott, Erin, my uncle Neil, cousin Grant (and Nelson before he moved to college), including Jake Mosser, Kathy Moore, and newbies Simon and Valerie Martin. Hayley, Aunt Linda, and Eric were all there to handle the kids (Bronwyn, Dylan, Haley, and Ryan Martin) while we chose our teams.

My team name is Monkey Chompers. WE (well me and Monkey Princess) are so going to win this year. There are pictures included from that day as well.

And Monkey Princess got two gifts. She got booties and a lamb from Aunt Linda and two outfits that were pink with Monkeys on them from Debbie, Erin's mom.
Thank you very much to the both of you.

More to come.........

This has been a busy week. Phil has been working mid day/nights this week, so I decided to make a bunch of plans.

*News flash* I get tired. I loved everything I did this week, however this morning was tough. I am glad it's Friday and hat day!!

I just wanted to apologize for not putting more pictures up this week, but there will be more to come. We are still waiting for Monkey Princess to make a move so I can feel her, but it's not time. I have seen her move and shake, but maybe she is to little for me to feel her.

Have a great weekend everyone!!!

GO USA! The Olympics are starting in less than 12 hours.

Here are a few pictures of Heather's Sprinkle, more like a down pour. We were so interested in watching Heather and ended up not getting too many pictures. I will have to get some from one of the hostesses.
