Love bug

This is when it's all worth it. Ryan used to have a pink couch that she would sit on any time that she would watch tv. It was getting old and the cushion wasn't any easy fix to wash and put back on. So we got rid of it. Phil and I think that was the best idea ever.

Now Ryan will sit with us. We always wanted a cuddle bug and never really got one. Ryan is either on the move or sitting by herself when not moving. Well now without the pink couch, she sits on the couch with us.

This was one of my favorite moments. We were laying together, heads touching while watching Yo Gabba Gabba. I don't care what we were watching. I got to be with my baby. She has been sititng with Phil lately (see last post), so this was my moment.

Time to brag

Ok....so it's time to brag. I know I tell people what Ryan has been doing lately, but seriously this stuff is amazing to me.

The girl knows red, blue, green, white and pink in Spanish. Yellow and orange are a bit harder. She knows them I think, but can't get them out without hearing them first, amarillo and naranaja. She can count to 5 in Spanish too. Talk about a little sponge. I try to teach her as much as I can in the car on the way home from school everyday. This way she can't run from me and has to listen to me :). She likes to say what the street lights are when red or green, so I have been saying them in Spanish back to her. If it's red, she says "It will be green in a minute." So cute.

She is so much fun lately. She jumps a lot and runs (no surprise there) everywhere she goes. She can sing school songs, her ABCs, dances and just a joy. She has her moments of course, but on the whole just a fun toddler.

She likes her baby that Bronwyn gave her. Ryan hasn't been the one to really have a specific thing that she *has* to have. This baby though, she has been sleeping with and holding for the last week. Bronwyn decided that she was to big for it and passed it along to Ryan. What a sweet cousin. Here is a picture of her and her daddy before going to bed.

You should see the other kid.....

Ryan has another black eye (not really black and blue, but a good size mark.) She and another kid ran right into each other. Poor little thing. She is a trooper though. She doesn't even say that it hurts.

This is a first thing in the morning picture. I love morning baby hair. She also likes to make music (or bang on things) with anything she can find. She hit the wipes container and said, "Mommy, I make music." I would love it if she gets into music and continues to love to dance.

First slumber party

Ryan had her first slumber party. Bronwyn and Cooper came over to stay the night. They had dinner, played, used the air mattress as a trampoline, made brownies, watched a movie.... it was a hit.

After the little ones played and ran EVERYWHERE, they went to bed and off to the kitchen we went. Brownyn, Hay Hay and I made brownies. Bronwyn was so cute. She was scared to use the mixer, but with a little help she did great. They tasted AWESOME!!!! We watched all of Sleeping Beauty. Hayley looked over at one point, where the prince was kissing the princess, and said that Bronwyn had this smile on her face like she was in love. We wish we had gotten a picture of that.

The next morning, Heather and Josh came and got their kids and we all went to breakfast at Poor Richards. We had a blast.

~Look at Coop's face. He and Bronwyn do NOT like to be spun, flipped, or turned upside down like Ryan. Phillip forgot that part :)!

Over the weekend

Finally.....she wore her flip flops. There isn't anything cuter than little pudgy feet in flip flops. We got her some with the backs on them and at first she wouldn't have anything to do with them. I put mine on to go get the mail and she wanted to wear hers. I hope she continues to wear them because I think they are the cutest things on little feet.

Good idea? Nope....I heard a bell outside my house on Saturday and it was a guy selling cotton candy. MY WEAKNESS! If I see it, I want it. So I bought two colors. We let Ryan have some and whoa.....sugar rush. Lesson learned. :) No more cotton candy for that girl.

Pick your battles.... here is one of those times where you have to go with the flow. Good thing we weren't going anywhere and she only wanted to wear her boots while cleaning. I just know the day is coming where she will want to wear some random outfit and we will just have to go with the flow....pick the battle of not letting it bother me and having a happy child that day.

My friend Cynthia got Ryan the Yo Gabba Gabba back pack. It was the sweetest thing. Ryan loves it and wore it to the store yesterday. She liked holding it more than wearing it at first so you can't see the front in this picture.

Random

These are the things that make me smile. It is so neat when you see that your little one is growing up. She lays on her tummy, colors with her daddy, imitates you....all the little things in life that make us smile.

I had to get this picture b/c she put this broken crown on like a headband. I couldn't get to her quick enough when she had it on like sun glasses.

Cutest little feet ever...... I love these little feet.

Dylan's 3rd birthday party

Dylan's birthday party was Sunday. It was a lot of fun. It was at the Little Gym. Ryan got to jump, bounce, run, play and do all of her favorite things. She did very well. As soon as we got there, away she went. She jumped on something, did a somersault, organized play time (well...we will say that lightly) and just had a GREAT time.

Twin=Brendan

Twin=Connor

They were asked to sit in a circle, go around, say their name and do their favorite thing in the middle of the circle. Bronwyn did some sort of cartwheel, jumpy, high in the air thing. Cooper fell and then crawled and then Dylan jumped and feel.

Oh my gosh and when it was Ryan's turn, she did this. It was hilarious. That's our girl......

Ryan did well on the organized "let's move our arms and touch our toes." The part that she couldn't handle was the "let's come back together" after asking her to run. She kept running around the circle so many times that me and Phil just looked at each other and started laughing. She just kept running.....it was funny.

What were they thinking? The rules were....don't go under or stand on top. What did Ryan do? She went under it and walked on top. Oh well....... But she did do what she was suppose to as well. Can't fault her for that.

Doh..... someone took a time out on her own. She went, sat down and made this face. Of course 2 seconds later she was up and at it some more.

Who's the ham? That girl loves to dance!!

This was fun. It was a bounce thing, but they put rules on it where you could only bounce one way, get off, run around and start over. Do you think Ryan took that very well? At first no, she wanted to continue to bounce and bounce every which way. Once we showed her once or twice, she got it.

Cake time!! Once the instructor rang the bell and said cake....that was it for my child. They all had to walk in together in a line. Ryan did well, but you could see the look in her eyes when we walked that way. You know she is "birthday cake" old. She will say 2, but if you ask her in a funny way or as if you are asking her in front of someone, she will humor us and say "birthday cake."

Mr Dylan is 3!! What a big boy with his Toy Story 3 cake!!

Ryan got to play one last time after cake. She did really well. She tried to eat the bubbles, but other than that she was a good girl :)!

We were on our way to go eat after the birthday party. Ryan got to take a balloon with her in the car (not my decision) and good thing Hay Hay was in the back to help her. That girl had the string all the way around her.

Then Bronwyn showed Ryan her video player. Boy did we create a monster....all Ryan said was "Gabba Gabba?" She wanted Bronwyn's player to play Yo Gabba Gabba. My little lefty....I love it!

Cooper and Bronwyn are coming to stay the night with us this Friday. Please pray for us :)!
