Role Play
Ryan has been role playing lately. She wants to be the mommy and wants me to be the baby. She will tell me good job or that we need to go to school or that I need to go to bed. She has really been having fun with it. And to my benefit, if she starts to look like she is going towards grumpy Ryan I will say "Momma, I need...." and fill in the blank. She will ususally go into mommy mode and forget about why she was fussy to begin with.
She also loves taking showers instead of baths. I started that to see if it would help with her bobo issues and she has been taking them ever since. If she is grumpy, I will tell her that she has to take a bath instead of a shower and she will usually straighten up. Is that bad? I sometimes think yes, but if it works then why not. She loves to wear shower caps. We will let her wear one every once and a while when she doesn't need her hair washed.
Becky got her a sucker that instead of a ring it looked like Mater's teeth from Cars the movie. The sucker itself was huge so she couldn't keep it in her mouth very long.
Her favorite things to do these days are jump om her trampoline, play with her cash register, play her guitar or dance around. She is very active and I try to do a lot with her so that she grows up as an active child. So far so good.

Friends
I wanted to go to the gym last night, however Phillip was working late. I asked Ryan if she wanted to go and this time she said no. She wanted to jump on her trampoline. The weather is getting nice and she must have missed jumping, so we jumped a little bit.
Then she said that we could go, so off to the gym we went. I feel kind of bad at times b/c I just put her in there and let her go. I wish I had someone to go with that has a child Ryan's age. She never seems to mind, so that makes me feel a little better.
When I got done with zumba I went to pick her up. She had made two new little friends. They both had to hug her and then they all three had to hug. That makes me feel so good to see that she has no problem going in and making friends.
I saw it myself though the other night when we went to the mall with Bronwyn, Cooper and Heather. I knew that Ryan would have her cousins to play with so that was nice. But as soon as she got in there, Bronwyn and Ryan had already made a friend. Ryan and Gabriella were holding hands and running around together. Phillip and I are so happy to know that she isn't shy and makes friends.
The picture below is of last night on the way home from the gym. She never wants to wear her sunglasses when it's bright outside. But for some reason when it was dark, she wanted to wear them. Such a silly girl.

Valentine's 2012
This was our morning the other day.
Ryan: “Mommy, TURN UP THE MUSIC.”
Mommy: “Um, excuse me? That’s not how you ask!”
Ryan: “Please” :)
Mommy: “That’s better. That was very nice.”
PAUSE…for about 45 seconds
Mommy: “Ok, Ryan we are about to be at school.”
Ryan: “Aren’t you going to tell me you’re sorry?”
Mommy: “No, why would I tell you that?”
Ryan: “For yelling at me!”
Of course I told her no and that I wasn’t going to say that becuase she was the one who asked me in an ugly way. Toddlers………………
Ryan's class had a Valentine's party. The theme was lovable teddy bears. The whole class had their faces painted like little teddy bears.
They sang a song and showed up what they do every morning. They talk about the days of the week and what day it is, what the weather is like and what the day is going to be like, class work wise. I really like this class. She has learned so much. She knows how to spell Adams. I had no idea. She was talking with Bronwyn the other day and started spelling it. I was so proud.

Happy Valentine's Day
Happy Valentine's Day.
Phillip took me and Ryan to Steve Fields restaurant last night. It was so good and Ryan did fantastic. She did ask if it had a play ground. :)

Happy birthday Grandpa
Grandpa turns 96 on Valentine's Day. We had a birthday party for him on Sunday night. We had food and cake and it was a really good time. Happy birthday Grandpa.
YOU ARE AWESOME!!! Keep on truckin!! 96 and still going!
We went to the mall with Ari and Katie Friday night. They changed the mall play area and so it was like all new to them. Those girls are so silly.
Love Love Love this picture. We go to breakfast quite often on the weekends and this was Ryan and her daddy the other morning. She loves doing the "cheek to cheek" picture.
Pretty Granma and Pawpaw gave Ryan this borad where she can use chalk or markers on. All she wanted was paint to paint a picture. There is a girl on the box that is painting so all Ryan wants to do is paint. So now we have to go get paint. It came with paint brushes and cups for water, but no paint!!
Every time she would do something she would say, "Momma, come look at my finished work." I guess the teachers tell them to let them know when they are "finished with their work."
