Memorial Weekend

This past weekend was really fun. We didn't have many set things to do which made for a relaxing weekend. We went bowling, shopping, to breakfast, and did what we wanted to do. After swimming in the pool, Ryan wanted her hair braided when wet and this is what happened after sleeping in it. She loves her curly hair.

Today was school color day... Yellow and Blue day!

Phillip, Ryan and I went to breakfast and Walmart Monday morning. We had to get a pool and a few other things durng the weekend.

We saw this for Ryan on the menu and she HAD to have it.  I knew she would want to eat most of the yogurt (came in a gogurt packet) so I wasn't able to do the hair exactly like it.

She is into milk lately which is awesome, so she is a big girl and orders her own milk.

Hat twins!!!!

I leave Phillip and Ryan for 5 minutes and this is what happens......

Ryan got a new Ariel toothbrush. She loved it so much that I found her in the bathroom using it in the middle of the day.

Off to go swim in our pool out in the back yard. Thanks Nana for the cute suit!

We took Ryan bowling and met up with Oliver, Colin, CiCi and Alan this past weekend. Ryan had been once before and really liked it. She says "One two three" and pushes the ball down the silver ramp thing. I think all of the little ones beat me. Hmmm....

Hayley's Surgery

Hayley had her surgery on May 22nd. It was a great day. She almost had to postone it due to abnormal tests, but she made it through and it on her way to a new "Hayley."
We both put her surgery hat on before she went in. She likes to say "This is how the French wear it" and well, I didn't know what to do with my hands! I know Hayley is in a good place and can't wait to see how she feels this time next year. I love you Hayley.

I made her a sign from me and Heather for her recovery. It is one of my new favorite sayings. "Trust the Process."

And well.....this is just another random picture. It's getting to a point where we don't even have to ask her to make her "rocker" face. If she finds her guitar, or one at Main Event like she did the other day this is the face she makes. GO ROCK STAR. Maybe I will read this post in 10 years when she is a famous musician and think back to "I wonder what she is going to love to do someday."

Main Event where she just went over to the Guitar Hero game and started playing.

Crazy Hair Day

Today is crazy hair day. You can see how much her hair has grown. And the funny thing is that I didn't know that I did her hair exactly the same as last year. Phillip was the one who actually suggested the 3 ponytail look.

Parent Teacher Conference in Ryan's PSA class

I had Ryan's parent teacher conference with Ms Kathy yesterday. She is in PSA, Preschool A now.

The conference went well. Ms Kathy showed me things that Ryan did back in Jan and then when she did them mid April. She showed me things like drawing herself which in Jan as pretty good, but in April she added fingers and then Ms Kathy asked what she put on her face b/c it was a little line and Ryan said, "teeth." So she has improved with things like detail.

Then she showed me a page that she did recently where there were rows of things like frogs or cats or other objects in different amounts. One row had 4, one row had 7 and so forth. She was then suppose to draw a line from the row of objects to the number on the right side of the paper. She did very well, in fact there was a row of three frogs but no number 3. Ryan raised her hand and told Ms Kathy that there wasn't a number 3 to draw a line to. That is very impressive.

The only thing she had to say constructive was that she ges distracted. I asked if she thought it was her age or a mix of everything and she said everything. No 3 year old is perfect. However, Ryan and I did talk about if someone distracts her, pushes her or something else, she was to ask them nicely to stop doing that and then tell the teacher if they don't stop. We also talked about the playground and the village were times to play and inside was learning time.

Oh and it's sad b/c you see that boys are the ones that can be more distructive. Ms Kathy asks every child what their favorite movie was and of course the girls say all of the princess ones or things that are sweet, but the boys say transformers and things that have to do with fighting. Ryan has come home before using guns with her fingers and making sounds. We will never get around what the kids do on the playground. I want her to be free in what she creates or imagines, but shooting things is not one of them.

Anyway, she did very well and I will get her whole folder when she moves up...whenever that is. I am ok with her in this class for now, but I don't want her bored either. Not that she is, but she is doing well.

Mother's Day weekend

Two cute pictures.....the first one is of Ryan with her mustache sucker that she wanted. Phillip and Ryan played at the popcorn store while I shopped. :)

And the second picture is of a dress Aunt CiCi (Stacey) got her. Love it!!

Coop and Ry stayed with Nana Friday night and Hayley got this picture of the two of them. Love it!!

Saturday morning me, dad, Hay, Lauren and Aunt Linda (along with many others) walked in the Head for the Cure walk in honor of my Uncle Neil. This was the second year and we plan on doing it every year. It was a good walk. Dad and I finished 3.2 miles in 1 hour and 3 minutes. Hay and Lauren finished in about 55 minutes or so. Aunt Linda hurt her toe and was a volunteer, so she stood and took pictures of us all walking.

Saturday afternoon, we went to Bronwyn's dance recital. She did a wonderful job. Ryan was trying to do some of the moves in the row where we were sitting. I will have to get in her dance soon.

Sunday, we went to church and lunch with mom for Mother's Day. We went to Desperados and had a great time. Here are two picutres that were taken.

Sunday I received this for Mother's Day from Phillip and his mom. I love it!!

"Fruit loots"

This morning I gave Ryan some cereal and told her what it was. She calls them "Fruit loots." I love the way she says it, but by not correcting her Phillip thinks she will be 7 years old asking for Fruit Loots. :)

She watches Team Oomi Zoomi where a little girl, Millie, turns around and makes her dress look like any pattern that she wants. I told her that her shirt looked like fruit loops and she went around all morning saying, "Pattern..... Fruit....Loots!!!"

Those are her friends Cherry and Butterfly Friend.

I love this girl.

This is how she rolls! The other night I gave her a head band to use so that her hair wouldn't get in her face while she eats, and this is what she did with it. "Let's get physical, physical...."

This is my life, crazy all the time. Phillip wasn't sure that I was taking a picture and Ryan was being.....well Ryan.

Speaking of Crazy... I told Ryan the other night that her chicken had Teriyaki sauce on it and that it was going to be really good. She told me that she wanted ketchup with her chicken. When I told her that ketchup was a sauce, she said "Ketchup is not a sauce, it's a real food."

Future Cheerleader

Nana bought Ryan pom poms from SFA on our trip this past weekend. She is also wearing her SFA shirt. She loves her pompoms and did a cheer this morning. I am trying my hardest to load the video so check back periodically to see if it's here. I am going to try and find used cheerleader outfits for her to wear to Bronwyn's Tball games. GOOOOO RYAN!!!!!
PS...out trip to SFA was fun. Mom, Heather, Hay and I went for an over night trip. We stayed in a hotel, had breakfast, walked the campus, went to the bookstore...it was a blast.

Friends and play dates

I haven't blogged in a while and so this post has a bunch of different pictures. The other night Ryan opened my makeup and said that she was going to put some on b/c she was the mommy and was going to go to work. And no, she didn't do that to her face..... I did!!! I thought it would be funny to draw on her and let her see her face. She had fun and laughed while showing her daddy!!!

Ryan and I went to the park to play with Ari and Fiona. They had a little General Store sign and Ryan sold me a hot dog. She got her first bloody lip. She was up playing on the playground set and feel. I didn't see what happened so not sure. But when Fiona's mom Jen brought her ice, she was all better. All she wanted to do was eat the ice. I know mom.....it's not good for her teeth :)!!

Phillip bought Ryan some head phones for her IXL. She was so excited to wear them. They keep falling off of her head b/c they are a bit big, but she will grow into them and keep them for a long time.

Phillip, Ryan and I went to visit Kasey, Bradley, Katie and Jacob. We all had a really good time. The kids jumped on the trampoline, rode the tire swing, and played in the play room. Ryan LOVED the tire swing. She asked to go higher and to spin more the entire time.

My friend from work gave Ryan this new bike. She also gave Ryan a few things when she was younger that Ryan played with for a long time. Thanks Jennice. Ryan wanted to ride it last night, but she is having a difficult time understanding the pedals. I know she will get it. This is her first bike!!!

Bluebonnets

Ahhhh Bluebonnets. They don't last very long, do they? Katie, Ariana's mom took these pictures. She did a great job. Ryan had fun and was so cute.
