New Patio

Our new patio......

The first picture doesn't look so bad when the back yard is all made up nice. The picture below is from 2010 when we had a get together for Memorial Day.

Every spring I had to go pull the weeds from in between every crack and then spray so that the weeds wouldn't grow for a few weeks. The bricks were uneven and not very nice on our feet.

So Phillip, Jeff and Mikey worked on our patio for 2 days.....after Phillip had worked on it for one day getting all of the bricks taken up.

This is after all of the bricks were taken up and fresh sand was laid.

Our BRAND new GORGEOUS patio. I am so happy and proud of those guys. They happen to have worked on it on the hottest day of the summer so far. I believe it was 107 that day. I am just so honored that Phillip thought of me and wanted to make me happy. Yes, it makes him happy too, but he did it knowing that I would be over joyed. I love that guy!!

Last Thursday, I took Ryan, her cousins and Aunt H-E to Chuck E Cheese for Ryan's "half birthday." Aunt Mary sent us free tokens that they sent for Ryan's half bday. So we ate and the kids played.

Funny story behind the next to pictures. The one below is the final picture that I asked Ryan to take b/c the one below that was a joke on me.

She had her tongue out the entire time while the machine was getting ready. Then the guy says. "5, 4, 3, 2, 1...smile." And that that moment, she smiled.......leaving me to look silly.

Saturday morning Ryan and I played Candy Land. I REALLY want to do a Candy Land party for her birthday. I know that's half a year away, but love the idea.

My baby cub.

Ryan had safari week at school. They made masks and she was the lion.

Nana's bday and splash day

Momma/Nana's birthday was yesterday. I think she had a really good time. She got lots of fun posts on facebook, cards, a pie at work and then we had dinner at my house. I didn't bring the picture that I took of her and the three kids, but will post later.

We had taco soup, brownies and banana pudding. I think we all had a good time.

Today is splash day. Thursdays are their days to play in the sprinklers at school. Ryan and Ariana got to school at the same time so I got a good picture of the two of them. These girls have been friends for a long time.

Chocolate Angel

What a wonderful weekend. It started off with me and Ryan having the day off. I had a dermatology appt and found out that I am allergic to nickel. It started last summer when my Dr told me I was allergic to the metal in my jeans. How could that be? Well a year later it spread to my shoulders and stomach and decided to go get it looked at. I am on steriods and a topical cream. I feel so much better, but have to watch the things I wear.

After that, Ryan, Heather, the kids and I went to the mall for lunch and a play date. The picture below is my favorite of Coop. He looks so old and soooo sweet. That face....ugh!! I love it.

Our girls being models. That's Bronwyn's model face. hehehehehe

Then after we played at the mall, we went back to Heather's to swim. Those kids are so good. They love to jump in and swim like little fish.

Saturday we took mom on her annual brunch/lunch around her birthday. This year we went to the Chocolate Angel. The kids were SO good and we had a really good time. Again, so impressed at how the kids were. They were little "angels."

After the Chocolate Angel, we went to the mall (yes, we like to shop and spend time together) and let the kids plat again. However, they had to get out so that the play area could be cleaned. So we went to get frozen yogurt and play on the couches.

Ryan's new shoes. I can't get over these feet. They are my favorite. So cute.

Ryan is the BEST at getting up in the mornings. She is not my child when it comes to mornings. She is the happiest, playful, sweet little girl. She busted her lip (see below and no I was not there) and woke up to tell me the whole story. Even with a sore lip, she was up before me or Phil and was so happy.

Growing up

Ryan has been growing so fast. I know I say that all of the time, but she is noticing more things and comprehending so much more than we give her credit for.

She is doing really well in school. She has only once not gotten 5 smiley faces. She gets a smiley face each day that she does well. (I might have already blogged about this.)

I found me and Phillip's favorite shirt that she used to wear in her big girl size. She has been going around saying "Baaadd Giiirrll." We tell her that it's BatGirl, but she thinks we are saying BadGirl. So funny.

We went to visit Ollie and Colin last weekend. Ryan decided to be Elmo. She ran around with the costume on for quite a while.

Her favorite things right now are role playing.....still. She loves to be mommy and makes me or daddy (or both) be baby or sister and brother. I feel guilty that we are thinking of not having another child, but we want to give Ryan the best that there is. She has plenty of cousins and friends. She likes to help daddy make coffee in the mornings, she loves the Micky Mouse Club and loves to play. I am starting to see more of her playing other people or things. Do we have an actress on our hands?

Update on Hayley! You can go to her blog at http://www.hayfini.blogspot.com/, but I want to send a shout out b/c she has done an amazing job.

She had weight loss surgery 7 weeks ago and looks fantastic. I knew she would do good, but I didn't know she would do "this" good!

This is Hayley 2 weeks before surgery, so 9 weeks ago.

Hayley only 7 weeks after her surgery, 9 weeks from picture above.
GORGEOUS!!!!

Coloring in the lines

I am so amazed. One day she was coloring all over the picture and today she is staying within the lines. I can't believe how well she is doing.

Not only is she staying within the lines, but she is making "pattern" flowers. She did this ALL by herself. Proud momma here!

I couldn't post this picture on the last post. But now I can. This is from 4th of July.

Happy "Almost" 4th of July

There is no school tomorrow on the 4th of July so I dressed Ryan in her outfit that Pretty Granma got her. She will wear Aunt Cici's outfit tomorrow. I love having multiple festive outfits for her to wear.

She is doing fireworks in the first picture!!

Happy 4th everyone. I will post pictures from tomorrow's annual 4th of July water balloon toss at Grandpa's tomorrow.

Random but funny

Saturday we went to Uncle Heath and Aunt Bridget's house for a cookout and fireworks. We had a really good time. We hung out, played with the goats, ate, and watched a firework show that all the guys put on.

The kids loved being in the goat pin.

Me and "Lucky"

Me being "lucky" to have married this guy. :)

Bronwyn photo bombing the picture.

Ryan being a goat.

I went to the $1 flip flop sale. I got me and Ry Ry matching ones. I love little feet in flip flops.

Random thought of the day:
Then this morning a cat almost ran across the street in front of us, but turned around and ran back through the grass. Ryan says, "Cats aren't suppose to cross the street. They will get hurt. Only grown ups can cross the street. Not kids, not, cats or tigers or monsters......." ???
