Ryan Elizabeth Adams

Ryan Elizabeth is FINALLY here! YEA!! This is Hayley, Hillary's sister. I was asked to put the pictures on her blog. Hillary and Ryan are both doing great! Don't worry Phil is too. :) It was a long and tiring day for both baby and mommy but everything has turned out great. Ryan looks just like her mommy. She is so cute and has big chipmunk cheeks. Beware everyone because you will fall in love with her at first sight.

NO PICTURES!!!! Just Kidding! I told her to make this face. Seriously I did!

We took over the waiting room...as usual

Eulogy...To Our Beloved Rufus

June 1995-December 28 2008

Poem Of Life Author unknown

Life is but a stopping place,
A pause in what's to be,
A resting place along the road,
to sweet eternity.
We all have different journeys,
Different paths along the way,
We all were meant to learn some things,
but never meant to stay...
Our destination is a place,
Far greater than we know.
For some the journey's quicker,
For some the journey's slow.
And when the journey finally ends,
We'll claim a great reward,
And find an everlasting peace,
Together with the lord

Rufus, Roodles, Roo Man, Rutabaga, Jack a Rufus.....
You lived an amazing life. Phillip gave you everything you ever wanted and more. I was so privileged to be with you for the last 6 years of your life. You were so special~ in more ways than one :)! We loved how you used to play with your green alligator. You loved that ONE thing more than life. You loved to love others and sit with them to make them feel welcome. You did snap at a few, but we know you were protecting us. Thank you for bringing us so much joy. We will always remember you and you will always be our first "baby."

We love you Rufus.

To our little one....

Tonight! Pre-delivery

Well, tonight is the night. Phil and I will go in to the hospital at 10pm TONIGHT. We will spend the night and try to get as much rest as possible. :) We all know that won't happen, right?

Here are a few pictures of 3 days before. Why didn't you people tell me I would look like this? :) When I look at pictures, I see someone completely different than when I look in the mirror. How a body changes in 9 months... I mean 10 months! 40 weeks = 10 months. I will be 40 weeks Wed, which is one day after Ryan is here.

6 days

Well.... 6 days people! I have 6 days. I left my camera at home and don't have a picture for this week. I will see if anyone has a camera phone that can take a picture of me. The lighting in this building doesn't do anyone justice. Like I care what I look like.... 6 days from having a baby... but I want to have it for the future.

I am dilated to a 1 still. I was that way last week too. I am glad that it's taking a while. I know everyone is excited, as well as Phil and I, but I want to spend time with our families for the holidays. We will have a great Christmas and then a great New Years...in the hospital.

Phil and I will go in at 10pm, Monday Dec 29th. I will be given some medicine and then checked every 4 hours. I will then be given the medicine to induce Tuesday morning. Dr Mos will see me at 7:30 Tuesday morning and let me know how things are going.

Ryan Elizabeth is almost here. She has been the perfect baby. She listened to her mommy so far when I said to stay in till after the holidays! I am sure that's a sign of a high maintainance child to come :)! But her parents are far from high maintainance (don't say a word people!) that hopefully she will be laid back too.

Love you all! Have a WONDERFUL holiday and I will be in touch very soon.

2 weeks!

So today is 2 weeks. I am 2 weeks away from delivery. I am wanting to wait, however it is getting tough. I am in constant soreness. I have a back pain now that could be a pulled muscle, a welt on my back that I will check out today, and soreness that prevents me from getting up and walking normal. It's all worth it.... It's all worth it.

I want to spend time with my families for the holidays. So, please keep praying that I can make it the next two weeks. I don't have a picture for today, yet. I am sure Cynthia will take one. She has been my photographer the last 38 weeks.

Happy Holidays and I am sure I will post a picture today.

Ryan and I are famous!!

Most of you have seen this picture. But have you seen it on TV??? I recorded the Mavs game from Saturday night. I didn't finish it, so Phil and I decided to watch the fourth quarter Sunday morning. We were watching a montage of pictures when all of a sudden we see ME!!! Oh my gosh. I started screaming (good thing Phillip was watching it with me or he would have had a heart attack thinking my water broke or soemthing) and he started laughing. It was the best moment!!!

Thanks Mark Cuban. And thanks to Frankie (Phil's dad) who told me to send the picture to Mark Cuban after Halloween!!!

What is wrong with this picture?

For those of you who know Rufus and know how he is..... is this not shocking? He was getting ready to lay down and so I went over to him and put my head next to him. He decided he wanted to lay down ON ME!! Well I feel asleep too and Phil caught the moment on camera.

And who's not enjoying this lovely cold weather? I love it.

Over the weekend

I had a great weekend. Phil and I watched a movie and relaxed Friday night. He worked Saturday during the day, I went to my cousin's shower, and then mom, Heather, Cooper, Bronwyn, Josh, and Richard all came over. The men put the crib together, my mom and I worked on the swing and Heather, Cooper and Bronwyn entertained us all. Here are some pictures.

I will be posting a video of Bronwyn singing Oh Christmas Tree (if I can get it to work :) )

Love Love Love this picture....

What a difference a year makes. Last year Bronwyn liked to look at Santa from a far. She loved Santa and loved the idea, however when it was time to sit on his lap, she would have none of that. This year Heather and Josh talked up the big guy and told her that she needed to show Cooper how it was done. Well, it looks like it worked. Here is the picture that Bronwyn and Cooper had taken with Santa!! So cute!

Little weight gain maybe??

How funny is it to look back and see a bright smile on my face and me holding my belly bump? That bump is now a hump. Oh my goodness. I look like I am ready huh?

I am 36 weeks, which means 4 weeks left. I feel good, but it gets uncomfortable sitting in this chair for 8 hours. I do get up and walk around some, but at this point I think it's more of just being Ryan's warm place for the last few weeks as she gets ready to meet everyone.

Phil and I are going to put the crib together tonight. I hope to have pictures in the next few days to show you her room.

Michael, Phillip's brother

Phillip and Ben have a half brother, Michael. He lives in CA and was in town for Thanksgiving. We met him once last year and had the opportunity to have dinner with him and get to know him even more. He is 20 years old and all three boys have the same dad, Phillip Adams II. Their dad passed away in 2002, however we are able to have a relationship with Michael. We are hoping he can come into town more often, but he is in CA going to college.

Thanks for a great dinner Michael. We hope to see you real soon.

Here is a picture of Phillip and Michael. It is a bit dark, but it's a picture we can cherish. I am sure we will get more as he comes into town.

There is no doubt these two boys are brothers. They have the same nose, smile and eyes.

Sorry for the delay

I am sorry for the delay in postings. For now.... please go to Hayley's blog for pictures. She is a wonderful photographer and always keeps up with her blog. Yes, she has her own postings, but she has been putting pictures up of my showers and our family get togethers.

Thanks Hay! You Rock!!!

Getting ready....

The stroller and carrier are ready!! I bought little head cushions for Ryan in her carrier so that her head isn't rolling around. I have her Elephant (name to be determined) in the carrier for practice.

And Captain Morgan says.... Don't Drink and Drive!!! Just a joke folks.
