When asked if she knew her colors, ate with utensils, sleeps through the night, along with other things, we said yes. She was right on schedule. She ate cereal with a spoon yesterday and did very well. We are hoping she is a lefty like her Aunt H-E and cousin Nelson.
We also asked about the dry patches on her back and Dr Ashworth said that it is nothing to worry about and to use a certain lotion and body wash. I was hoping it wasn’t anything serious. She does have to see an eye Dr though. She might have a possible stigmatism in the left eye, just like her momma. However, she could possibly grow out of it. Dr Ashworth just wanted us to have the Dr look at it.
Back on Ryan’s 4 week post op from the ear tubes, Ryan had a runny nose and was a bit congested. Dr Chamblee, the ENT, thought it might be good to draw some blood to see if Ryan had an immune deficiency. Phillip and I were a bit skeptical because Ryan really only had issues during the winter season. So we waited and asked Dr Ashworth. She agreed with us and said that they only do that for children that have scrapes or cuts that don’t heal. Ryan has been great since that post op appointment and so her issues must be seasonal, just like a lot of people. We will do whatever the Dr says, but I wanted Ryan’s Pediatrician’s opinion first.
So overall, Ryan did great. We will make an appointment with the eye Dr and see what they say.
Here are two pictures recently. Phillip’s cousin Ryan, gave little Ryan this outfit. He lives in Houston. She was the cutest cheerleader on Sunday. Then Phillip put together her kitchen. It will go in her play room, but right now she is playing in the living room.
