Ryan has been active lately. The summer is here and there are things to do. Last weekend, she went to Nana's house and stayed the night with Bronwyn and Cooper. They had a lot of fun, not only together but with Nana. Ryan and Nana put on a piano concert.

Then Saturday, I picked Ry Ry up and we had a swim play date with Fi Fi aka Fiona. This is another friend from school. They played and swam together.

Sunday, we went to breakfast as a family. Ryan was so funny. She ate really well. She normally wants to go right for the sugary stuff, but she ate her eggs and her biscuit. When it came time to eat her French Toast, she said "I'm full. I'll just rest for a minute."

Having a tooth pick in her mouth like her daddy.

Thursday was Ryan's 4th of July party at school. Phillip nor I could attend, so Jeff and Katie and Ari got to take her out of her class, let her play with them and took her to their house when they were done. What great friends!!!

Wed was show and tell day. All the kids had to bring a bandana. She wanted to her wear it on her head, but we thought this was more like the Wild Wild West...which they were studying.

There aren't enough words to describe Ryan. She is so much fun. When Katie took her home with her Thurs, Katie told Ryan that she was silly. She said to Katie, "My mommy says I am a weirdo." The things they retain.

We are so blessed to have such a carefree, sweet, silly, loving and wonderful girl!!

3 1/2 years old

Can you believe this girl is 3 and a half years old? She is growing up so fast. She is silly as ever. She is into having us smell her breath lately. The only reason I can think of is b/c Phillip will make a face and then act like he is passing out. She thinks it's funny. Then we will brush her teeth and she will do it again to show up how good it smells. She is Phillip's daughter for sure....crazy and silly.

She also still loves to play Mommy/Baby. This means that she is the mommy and I am the baby. She even plays with Phillip sometimes and she is the daddy. Her friends don't like playing as much b/c they too want to be the mommy. So she plays it with us a lot. She loves to tell me things are hot and not to touch them, or that I have to put my toys away b/c we have to get ready for school...so all of the things that she is told on a normal basis. :)

She wore two side pony tails today, just like her Aunt Hay Hay. (Side note, she calls the Kraft single cheese that comes in squares Maizie cheese b/c that is what Nana's dog Maizie gets as a treat). So when I took this picture this morning, I told her to say cheese. So she says, "Maizie Cheeeeese." Too funny.

And this is a picture of her with her hair all done and pretty. Pretty Granma did her hair for Father's Day. It stayed that way all day. Good job Pretty Granma!

Summer time

We went to eat with Phillip's family on Father's Day. (I hate that I didn't get pictures of us at lunch with Richard and Gpa or my dad) :( I will get a picture this weekend when Nana and Papa get Ryan, Bronwyn and Coop for the night.

Here is Luis with his precious Elicia, Phillip and Ryan and Frankie with Isabel and Mason. They are getting so big.

Phillip was unable to attend Ryan's Father's Day Social at school this year. We told her that it happens and daddys have to work sometimes. She was just fine with it and still had a great time.

Katie, Ari's mom, is the sweetest friend. She offered to do pictures of Ryan for Father's Day. She is a great photographer. She took all the pictures below. Thanks Katie!!!

June 2012

Where has the time gone? It is half way into 2012. I can't believe it. Ryan is getting so big and more independent, if that's possible, everyday.

We had a great weekend. We went to dinner Friday night and got Ryan a life jacket for any big pool. We had plans and went to Aunt Linda's on Saturday and that's why we wanted one for her. So Friday we went to dinner and got her one with a shark fin on it. She was so cute.

Then Saturday we went to Aunt Linda's for our annual swim party. We celebrated dad's bday, Aunt L's bday and Nelson graduation from Tech! It was a really fun time.

I didn't get a picture of Hayley, but as of now after a week and a half post surgery she has lost 23 lbs. I am so proud of her.

Then Sunday, we went to breakfast and Bed Bath and Beyond to look around. After that, I tried putting Ryan down for a nap, but she only rested. I got a picture of her reading to herself. She loves the little light we let her have and the picture below is from the monitor. She was wearing the light on her head so that she could see to read. (It was nap time, not night time....but whatever!)

After rest time, I took her to Jack Carter Pool. That is one fun place. She went down the slides more times than I could keep up with. We had a really good time together.

Got a little work out in at Bed Bath and Beyond.

I had to also add this picture of a note that Ryan's teachers left for us. I am going to blog more of them and wish I had done it more in the past. I love getting letters like this.

It says, "Hello, Mr and Mrs Adams~ I appreciate Ryan's willingness to pitch in. She is so helpful and dependable. The classroom would not be the same without her."

That makes me smile bigger than anything. Knowing that she likes to help others and kind towards her teachers is rewarding to us. She is such a sweet girl. I did ask her what she wanted to be when she grew up and she said Dr. Let's keep encouraging that, shall we??

Memorial Weekend

This past weekend was really fun. We didn't have many set things to do which made for a relaxing weekend. We went bowling, shopping, to breakfast, and did what we wanted to do. After swimming in the pool, Ryan wanted her hair braided when wet and this is what happened after sleeping in it. She loves her curly hair.

Today was school color day... Yellow and Blue day!

Phillip, Ryan and I went to breakfast and Walmart Monday morning. We had to get a pool and a few other things durng the weekend.

We saw this for Ryan on the menu and she HAD to have it.  I knew she would want to eat most of the yogurt (came in a gogurt packet) so I wasn't able to do the hair exactly like it.

She is into milk lately which is awesome, so she is a big girl and orders her own milk.

Hat twins!!!!

I leave Phillip and Ryan for 5 minutes and this is what happens......

Ryan got a new Ariel toothbrush. She loved it so much that I found her in the bathroom using it in the middle of the day.

Off to go swim in our pool out in the back yard. Thanks Nana for the cute suit!

We took Ryan bowling and met up with Oliver, Colin, CiCi and Alan this past weekend. Ryan had been once before and really liked it. She says "One two three" and pushes the ball down the silver ramp thing. I think all of the little ones beat me. Hmmm....

Hayley's Surgery

Hayley had her surgery on May 22nd. It was a great day. She almost had to postone it due to abnormal tests, but she made it through and it on her way to a new "Hayley."
We both put her surgery hat on before she went in. She likes to say "This is how the French wear it" and well, I didn't know what to do with my hands! I know Hayley is in a good place and can't wait to see how she feels this time next year. I love you Hayley.

I made her a sign from me and Heather for her recovery. It is one of my new favorite sayings. "Trust the Process."

And well.....this is just another random picture. It's getting to a point where we don't even have to ask her to make her "rocker" face. If she finds her guitar, or one at Main Event like she did the other day this is the face she makes. GO ROCK STAR. Maybe I will read this post in 10 years when she is a famous musician and think back to "I wonder what she is going to love to do someday."

Main Event where she just went over to the Guitar Hero game and started playing.

Crazy Hair Day

Today is crazy hair day. You can see how much her hair has grown. And the funny thing is that I didn't know that I did her hair exactly the same as last year. Phillip was the one who actually suggested the 3 ponytail look.

Parent Teacher Conference in Ryan's PSA class

I had Ryan's parent teacher conference with Ms Kathy yesterday. She is in PSA, Preschool A now.

The conference went well. Ms Kathy showed me things that Ryan did back in Jan and then when she did them mid April. She showed me things like drawing herself which in Jan as pretty good, but in April she added fingers and then Ms Kathy asked what she put on her face b/c it was a little line and Ryan said, "teeth." So she has improved with things like detail.

Then she showed me a page that she did recently where there were rows of things like frogs or cats or other objects in different amounts. One row had 4, one row had 7 and so forth. She was then suppose to draw a line from the row of objects to the number on the right side of the paper. She did very well, in fact there was a row of three frogs but no number 3. Ryan raised her hand and told Ms Kathy that there wasn't a number 3 to draw a line to. That is very impressive.

The only thing she had to say constructive was that she ges distracted. I asked if she thought it was her age or a mix of everything and she said everything. No 3 year old is perfect. However, Ryan and I did talk about if someone distracts her, pushes her or something else, she was to ask them nicely to stop doing that and then tell the teacher if they don't stop. We also talked about the playground and the village were times to play and inside was learning time.

Oh and it's sad b/c you see that boys are the ones that can be more distructive. Ms Kathy asks every child what their favorite movie was and of course the girls say all of the princess ones or things that are sweet, but the boys say transformers and things that have to do with fighting. Ryan has come home before using guns with her fingers and making sounds. We will never get around what the kids do on the playground. I want her to be free in what she creates or imagines, but shooting things is not one of them.

Anyway, she did very well and I will get her whole folder when she moves up...whenever that is. I am ok with her in this class for now, but I don't want her bored either. Not that she is, but she is doing well.

Mother's Day weekend

Two cute pictures.....the first one is of Ryan with her mustache sucker that she wanted. Phillip and Ryan played at the popcorn store while I shopped. :)

And the second picture is of a dress Aunt CiCi (Stacey) got her. Love it!!

Coop and Ry stayed with Nana Friday night and Hayley got this picture of the two of them. Love it!!

Saturday morning me, dad, Hay, Lauren and Aunt Linda (along with many others) walked in the Head for the Cure walk in honor of my Uncle Neil. This was the second year and we plan on doing it every year. It was a good walk. Dad and I finished 3.2 miles in 1 hour and 3 minutes. Hay and Lauren finished in about 55 minutes or so. Aunt Linda hurt her toe and was a volunteer, so she stood and took pictures of us all walking.

Saturday afternoon, we went to Bronwyn's dance recital. She did a wonderful job. Ryan was trying to do some of the moves in the row where we were sitting. I will have to get in her dance soon.

Sunday, we went to church and lunch with mom for Mother's Day. We went to Desperados and had a great time. Here are two picutres that were taken.

Sunday I received this for Mother's Day from Phillip and his mom. I love it!!
